Early shoots, not sensitive to frost, beginning of April; elliptical, medium green, splendid carmine from September on, cream-white in autumn in the shade

Sun to semi-shade, tolerates warmth, frost hardy; only for nutritious, somewhat heavy substrates, moist to fresh, slightly acidic to alkaline
