Oval-elongated, early shoots end of April, fresh to medium green, brown-violet in autumn to wine-red, end of October to November, persistent

Decorative, dense, persistent berries, pale blue-green or blackish from September, pea-size, unpalatable

Sun to semi-shade, takes well to heat, frost hardy, good for urban areas, does not need wind protection

Dry to fresh substrates, not demanding, tolerates some salt
