Characteristics:
Habit
Large rounded shrub, 250-300 cm tall, 150-200 cm wide, densely branched
Blossom
Milky white, tube-shaped, in axillary groups, stamens scarcely longer, delightful sweet scent, numerous, April to May
Leaves
Evergreen, elliptic to oblong ovate, dark green, glossy, margins varyingly serrate
Fruits
Drupes, ovate to rotund, 1-1.5 cm longs, black-blue, pruinate
Demands
Sun to semi-shade, needs protection from midday sun, frost sensitive, demands shelter from wind
Soil
Fresh to moist, sandy-loamy, acidic to neutral
