Habit
An upright, loose large shrub with asymmetrical twigs, 3-5 m tall, 3 m wide; medium to fast-growing
Blossom
White corymbs after leaves shoot; June; scent of hawthorn

Reverse ovoid, fresh green, grey-green underneath, brilliant scarlet in autumn, end of September, persistent and decorative
Fruits
Decorative, scarlet, pea-size miniature apples, turning colours at end of September, persistent if not eaten by birds; mealy, tasteless

Sun to semi-shade, tolerates heat, moderately frost hardy, tolerant of urban pollution
